Foreign policy beyond war and terror
Mitt and Barack didn’t.
Looks like Mitt and Barack missed my husband’s request for the debate yesterday.
We listened to the debate together yesterday and were saddened to hear not a single sentence by either candidate about foreign policy outside of the Middle East, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and China.
At one point Mitt actually said, “Pakistan matters because they have 100 nuclear warheads.”
Is that what makes people matter?
What that implies about what the rest of the world should do if they want to get on the U.S.’s “you matter” list is, frankly, scary, sad, and wrong.
